CREDIBILITY


Membership in the TTSAO provides credibility for members and reliability for students. Commercial Driver Education Courses Approved by the Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario Must Meet Specific Terms and Conditions for Education Courses and Facilities, such as:
  • Schools must be registered with Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario
  • All instructors must be licenced and qualified as required by Provincial laws, for both in-truck training as well as classroom instruction.
  • Training facilities must be in accordance with municipal bylaws and regulations
  • Schools must have access to a yard or off road facility to accommodate training practices
  • Training Vehicles must comply with current safety regulations
  • Training Vehicles must be insured to comply with provincial regulations
  • Schools approved by the T.T.S.A.O. have regulated Course Content, Duration and Student Eligibility requirements
  • All institutions are subject to unscheduled audits of their facilities, staff, training practices, equipment, training records and receipts. The audit is conducted by an impartial firm. An evaluation and report is given to both the school and the T.T.S.A.O. at the end of the audit.
  • Approved Schools will display the T.T.S.A.O. logo where it is visible to all individuals who enter the school location.
The TTSAO believes that all of the requirements listed above are very necessary to ensure that individuals are receiving training that conforms to today's standards & safety requirements, allowing accredited schools to supply the industry with safe, knowledgeable, employable, entry level drivers through unity in driver training standards.
